BELIEVE TO SEE!

Every waking moment affords us an opportunity to make choices that will help in setting the climate around us. For instance, we can choose to let disappointing circumstances cause anger or confusion or we can reset and with intentionality praise our Maker, our Father, our God with the fruit of our lips.
The Psalmist in Psalm 27:13 exuberantly reminds us how he took courage and trusted God at a time when he almost lost heart. He said, “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” He goes on to say, “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
In a time of what for some seem to be a time of uncertainty, let us take comfort in knowing that the promises of God’s word are true. His truths are not contingent upon what is happening around us. Nothing has come as a surprise to our Heavenly Father. For Believers we have the awesome privilege to trust Him. I woke up a few mornings ago hearing the song by Maverick City featuring Chandler Moore, “Man of Your Word.” Before Chandler said It, I have learned that He is faithful even when we are doubtful.
You and I may have to turn off the voices of mainstream media and news and create a climate to hear the Lord’s voice. Sometimes the many voices tend to overwhelm us. Know that regardless of where you are, you are passing through this moment. We are not in it to stay. The LORD’s faithfulness is not contingent upon our works or performances. He wants a willing heart even if it is confused or broken. Believe to SEE His promises toward you and your love ones.
Jeremiah declared Of God concerning His people in 29:11, “ I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
I am so amazed that God said His thoughts toward you and I. He did not even say our thoughts toward ourselves. His thoughts and plans are so much greater and in this let us find comfort and rest. Apostle Paul in Romans declares, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” (NIV). SEE His glory!
